Howdy Ya’ll!
Hope yall are doin well,
FINALLY! TEAMS in Queretaro
Well
the Summer here has been quite a busy one! We have received in two
teams from two different churches. One from Indiana -The Grove and the
other church was Lamotte Missionary Church from Michigan. I personally
didn’t get to participate much with the team from Indiana because of
several problems that we had as a family (I’ll talk about that below).
But, I did get to go with the team from Lamotte Missionary Church, in
Michigan! It was a great time! We were all over a little town called
Pueblito (little town). We shared the gospel various times a day, had
outreach in the parks, played soccer with the people, and then we would
share with them, & we had a few open air preaching sessions. The
hearts of the people in this little town are very hard. When you come
into the town There is a huge statue of the virgin of guadalupe that
overlooks the town and at the back of the town there is an ancient Olmec
pyramid. But, in the midst of it all, there are three (that I know of)
Christian Churches there. Gracia Soberana (Sovereign Grace), iMexico
Vive!, Compasion y Vida (Compasion & Life). please pray for the
lives of the people that live there, that GOD would take away the scales
from their eyes to truly see HIM! and for the Christian churches there
to proclaim his WORD to Pueblito!
Placys Mom
One
afternoon we got a call from one of placy’s cousins. she said her mom
was in the hospital and it didn’t look good. so, we packed up the car
and drove two days to chihuahua. The drive was without incident. Her Mom
and Dad are in their 80’s so this could have very well been the last
time we saw her. We arrived at her house to find her back home resting
bed. Placy got to take care of her and nursed her back to where she was
walking and eating. with the LORDS blessing, she got better over the
course of the next week, Praise the LORD! at the end of the week, we
had to go, we had teams coming to Queretaro for the first time in two
years! As
we
headed back home, the timing chain broke in Durango State! The Car
stopped in the middle of NOWHERE. well, where the car stopped there was a
SOS. an sos is an emergency call beacon in the middle of nowhere! we
pressed a button, a ladies voice came out of the box and asked us if we
needed assistance. We said yes that our car stopped running and could
they send a tow truck. in 20 min. there was a tow truck towing us to the
toll bridge where a mechanic would meet with us! the mechanic looked at
the car and started shaking his head, then he said “im sorry my friend
but it is your timing chain. it will be expensive to fix and take about a
week or so.” so in faith I said “ok” what else am I supposed to say? so
we towed it to his shop. Then took us to the local bus station, where
we bought 5 tickets to Queretaro. 12 hrs later, we made it home. safe
and sound. for the next two weeks I was without a vehicle. then I got
the call. It’s ready to go. Praise GOD for his provision! I praised him
thru the whole processes, and now as I retell the story I am praising
HIM again! won’t you join me!?
Placy’s Health
Well,
about two months back, Placy went to the doctor for a checkup and the
doctor ordered a sonogram. on the sonogram he found a cyst on her ovary.
to be sure, he sent her to have a cat scan. the results of the cat scan
said that she had, in fact, TWO cysts on her Ovaries. Her doctor
pondered surgery but, instead of surgery, he sent her to a gynecologist
to be 100% sure. today she went to the gynecologist and had an “inside”
sonogram done and PRAISE the LORD, there are NO SIGNS of any cysts! In
TEXAS, we call this a MIRACLE!
Thank Ya’ll so much for you prayers! GOD has heard and answered our
Prayers! My wife has been all Smiles for the rest of the day today!
Mateo and Victor
As
you know, Logan Plays for the Chivas here in Queretaro. that means that
I take him to practice two days a week. At practice, mostly all moms
bring their kids. So I try to walk or read (and generally stay away from
all Moms!) I started praying for GOD to send some Dads to the practice
that I could get to know. Well, HE did. HE sent Victor and Mateo. these
two Dads were very leary of me at first. but now, we have become pretty
good friends. I pray for them every practice. I would like to invite
them over to dinner some night in the future. Please Pray for our
friendship, their Marriages, and families, and that the LORD might save
their souls someday soon.
“Basic Training” in Pueblito
I
am teaching a “Basic Training” bible study in Pueblito. It is a fun and
exciting study! We range anywhere from 17yrs old to 60 somethin! we
talk about things that rock their world. One night i told them that “Making
Disciples is NOT an Option. GOD calls us to do it. for the rest of our
lives, we must do it. The Great Commission is not an Option.”
NOBODY had ever told them that before. It was so good to see their
faces as they heard this truth. the Study is designed to help them thru
the processes of learning how to disciple and then leading someone thru
it. Its by Campus Crusade and the Navs. Please Pray for this study and
the folks in it. That they might APPLY it to their lives.
12 yr. Anniversary!
Placy and I just Celebrated our 12 yr. Anniversary! Can ya believe it?! She MUST Love me!
Thank ya'll for all you do for us! GOD Bless ya'll!
The Foxes
